Softkinetic
Softkinetic develops iisu, a gesture recognition platform for 3D depth-sensing cameras. Their software isn't used for Microsoft's Kinect, but actually supports a very broad range of hardware and thus could become the multiplatform standard for controller-less gesture recognition. A good example of what this technology is capable of is visible in this video.
